The 2025 China-US Guangzhou-Los Angeles Youth Water Polo Friendship Match Builds Bridges Between our Two Sister Cities

A water polo team players of the ages 13-15 from high schools from East San Gabriel Valley and Irvine, along with their coach Admas Hewko, visited Guangzhou under the auspices of the LAGSCA from July 28 to August 1, 2025.

They participated in the China-US Guangzhou-Los Angeles Youth Water Polo Friendship Match. While in Guangzhou, they visited Yuexiu Park, toured the Five Rams Statue, visited the Double Fish sport equipment company, the 2024 Paris Olympic sponsor, interacted with Guangzhou’s youth, and exchanged gifts to foster friendship.

During their visit, the participants from both the US and China jointly planted friendship trees in the “Guangzhou-Los Angeles Friendship Garden” within the Yuexiu Park.

This program is part of LAGSCA's continuous engagement of fostering and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two cities, as well as deepening exchanges and cooperation across various fields.
