LAGSCA Delegation to Guangzhou

ANHPI Heritage month, celebrated each year in May, recognizes and honors the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Asian Americans, native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. A grand celebration was held in Guangzhou, China the weekend of May 24th to the 26th, 2024.

A large delegation of officers, members, and friends of the LAGSCA met in Guangzhou for this celebration. During the visit the delegation had an opportunity to have the first official visit to see the association’s gift to the city of Guangzhou on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the sister city association in Yuexiu Park. The highlight of the weekend was a grand banquet at the Garden Hotel where over 300 people gathered to celebrate the ANHPI and honor Mr. Stewart Kwoh for his work in promoting Asian American, native Hawaiian and Pacific Island people and their cultures.
